About Us
We are a group of ordinary people transformed by a belief in an extraordinary Savior. Our name "Calvary Fellowship" actually summarizes who we are and what we believe.
We are a Fellowship. In the Bible, this word refers to "people who have something in common".We are a Calvary Fellowship. We have in common the profound belief that Jesus Christ's" crucifixion on Calvary and His bodily resurrection are the most significant events in all human history, providing eternal life for all who trust in Him.
We also believe the Bible is God's inspired Word, and is our final authority for faith and practice.

Our History
Calvary Fellowship began in October, 1970, as a weekly Home Bible Study in Upper Merion Township. God began to put a desire in the hearts of those assembled to begin a local church.
From its foundation, the church was characterized by a strong desire to be Biblical in its teaching, preaching, and structure. Through an active visitation outreach to nearby communities, many residents placed their trust in Christ as their Savior. By 1977, as growth continued, the meetings moved from rented facilities to its current location.
Calvary Fellowship continues to be an independent, Bible-believing church, serving several local communities, seeking to provide a place where people can "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 3:18)
Our Beliefs
- We believe in the absolute authority and accuracy of the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments; its plenary verbal inspiration in the original manuscripts and its all-sufficiency as the Christian's rule of faith and practice.
- II Timothy 3:16-17
- II Peter 1:19-21
- We believe that there is but one God, the Creator, Preserver and Ruler of all things, who is perfect in holiness and in love, infinite in wisdom and measureless in power, and Who reveals Himself to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- Deuteronomy 6:4
- Nehemiah 9:6
- I Chronicles 29:11,12
- Exodus 15:11
- I John 4:8
- We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal and only begotten Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and that He is true God and true man and is the only mediator between God and man.

- Luke 1:35
- John 1:1,2,14
- John 2:14
- John 12:45
- John 14:9
- I Timothy 2:5
- We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, whose ministry is to convict the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment, to regenerate the unbelieving, and to seal, sanctify, teach and comfort those who believe in Jesus Christ.
- John 16:8-11
- John 3:3,7
- John 14:26
- Ephesians 1:13
- We believe that man was created in the image of God and that he sinned, thereby he incurred both physical and spiritual death; thus we believe that all men by nature and by choice are sinners, and apart from Christ shall be forever separated from God.
- Genesis 1:26
- Genesis 2:17
- Ezekiel 18:20
- Romans 6:23
- We believe the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the merit of His shed blood.
- I Corinthians 15:3,4
- Revelation 1:5
- We believe that salvation is by grace through faith, not of works, and that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit, thereby becoming children of God.
- John 3:3,7
- Ephesians 1:12
- Ephesians 2:8,9
- We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord Jesus Christ, His ascension into Heaven, and in His present ministry there for us as High Priest and Advocate. We believe in the personal, visible, and bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ to set up His Kingdom upon the earth.

- Acts 2:42-47
- I Corinthians 12:1-31
Our Purpose
We grow together in these areas by teaching and preaching the Bible, sharing and meeting needs, using our spiritual gifts, encouraging relationship building through a variety of activities, and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with others.
Our Leadership
Calvary Fellowship is an independent Bible Church, governed by its own local leadership. We have patterned our leadership structure after thetwo official groups of leaders listed in the New Testament - elders and deacons.
Elders are men who provide care and oversight spiritually for a local church. They must be qualified according to Biblical standards (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9). Elders serve by praying, counseling, teaching, and guiding the church. Currently there are three elders serving the church. Eric Hall is serving fulltime at the church, and has been on staff since 1978. Tim Green and Jack Rapp also serve as shepherds, as an integral part of the shepherding team.
Deacons are men who serve the church in practical ways. They too, must fulfill Biblical qualifications (1 Tim. 3:8-13). Their ministries include oversight of many areas, such as maintenance of the building, meal ministries, care of lawn and grounds, audio-visual ministry, and ushering/greeting.
